Job summary

Hobo Helsinki is seeking a talented and enthusiastic receptionist to join our team. This permanent part-time role averages 30h over 3 weeks, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

You will help guests feel at home, coordinate with housekeeping, handle billing and reservations, and contribute to the warm, local vibe of our hotel. Join a creative, vibrant crew and enjoy staff discounts across our 200+ hotels and venues.

Qualifications

• Experience in reception, hospitality, or similar roles.
• Fluent in English; Finnish language is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Hobo Helsinki is in search of a talented and enthusiastic receptionist to join our team

This is a position for a permanent part-time receptionist with an average of 30h / 3 weeks. The start date can be agreed upon, but preferably as soon as possible. The position requires working various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll do:

• Welcome every guest like they’re stepping into your living room, warm smiles, smooth arrivals, easy stays, and effortless goodbyes
• Keep the flow going by teaming up with housekeeping, maintenance, and the rest of the crew to sort out guest needs quickly and kindly
• Handle the practical stuff like billing, payments, drink orders at the bar during daytime and reservation tweaks with clarity, calm, and a touch of Hobo charm

You'll shine here if you:

• Bring genuine warmth and curiosity to every guest interaction
• Stay calm when things get busy and keep the vibes steady at the front desk
• Communicate clearly at least in English and maybe also Finnish (extra languages are always a flex)
• Notice the little things that make a stay feel effortless
• Experience in reception, hospitality, or similar roles where people are involved
• A love for Helsinki’s culture, food, music, or hidden corners
• Tech confidence; you don’t need to be a wizard, just not afraid of multiple programs
