Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Technical R&D Project Manager to lead NPI and NTI programs for STATCOM solutions from the Tampere Solution Line. Based in Tampere, you will drive high-impact projects that advance power electronics and grid modernization.

You will partner with global teams, manage scope, costs, and schedules, and apply problem‑solving methods and tools such as JIRA and Confluence to deliver innovative technology for decarbonized electricity.

Qualifications

• Experience managing R&D projects in power electronics or high‑voltage sectors.
• Proven ability to lead large, international teams.
• Strong knowledge of power systems and control platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Asset: cybersecurity for industrial systems.
• Familiarity with MMC, STATCOM, HVDC or IGBT-based products.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of complex, large-scale R&D and NPI programs.
• Maintain rigorous control over scope, costs, and schedules.
• Navigate global, cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership to drive innovative solutions.
• Apply R&D processes and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Imagine 2).
• Prioritize projects to maximize customer value and business outcomes.
