Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead all project quality activities on large-scale data centre projects across Europe.

You will ensure compliance with IMS, project specs, regulatory requirements, and client expectations from construction through commissioning and handover. You will mentor site-based quality personnel, develop ITPs, audit plans, and NCR processes, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with subcontractors, client

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Management/QA/QC role within construction.
• Experience on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or mission-critical projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and best practice.
• Experience auditing and managing subcontractors on complex projects.

Headquartered in Dublin, we specialise in the design, construction, and commissioning of mission-critical infrastructure, delivering projects across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning disciplines.

As Europe's leading dedicated data centre delivery partner, we are currently delivering multiple large-scale data centre projects across seven European countries, representing more than 430MW of IT load currently under construction.

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our project team and play a key role in delivering world-class data centre facilities.

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading all project quality activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, client expectations, and the Winthrop Integrated Management System (IMS).

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and commissioning teams to promote a culture of quality excellence throughout the project lifecycle, from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of project-specific Quality Plans
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the Winthrop Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements
• Develop, monitor, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and inspection programmes
• Plan and conduct quality audits, inspections, and surveillance activities to verify compliance with project requirements
• Ensure subcontractors implement and maintain effective quality management systems and inspection processes
• Review and monitor quality documentation, test records, inspection reports, and turnover packages
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventative actions to ensure timely resolution of quality issues
• Liaise with client quality representatives, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are met
• Support construction, commissioning, and handover activities by ensuring quality records and documentation are complete and accurate
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project
• Mentor and support site-based quality personnel and promote a positive quality culture throughout the project team
• Produce quality performance reports and communicate key quality metrics to project leadership

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Management, QA/QC Management, or similar role within the construction industry
• Previous experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Semiconductor, Mission-Critical, or Large-Scale Commercial Projects
• Strong understanding of construction quality management systems and industry best practice
• Experience managing quality throughout construction, commissioning, and project handover phases
• Knowledge of quality auditing principles
• Experience managing subcontractors and driving quality performance on complex projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and CSA construction processes
• Experience using digital quality management platforms such as Autodesk BIM 360, ACC, Procore, or similar

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification, diploma, or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, or a related discipline
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification desirable
• Professional quality management certifications are advantageous
