Job summary

OnWood is seeking a project manager to oversee end-to-end management of construction projects in Finland. You will handle 1-3 projects valued up to several million euros, coordinating with production facilities, customers, and authorities.

The role requires a construction engineering degree and prior project/-site management experience. The position offers flexibility with primary work in Salo/Jokioinen offices, and potential remote work in the future.

Qualifications

• University degree in construction engineering, DI or equivalent.
• Experience as a project engineer/manager or site manager on construction projects.
• Ability to handle large scopes with a systematic and comprehensive approach to project leadership.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Financial mindset and cost-conscious work approach.
• Knowledge of construction contracting and regulatory environment.
• Experience in industrial construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from kickoff to handover and ensure alignment with goals.
• Monitor finances and schedules to keep projects on track.
• Manage subcontracting during construction and site completions.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, designers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure progress according to contracts and agreed goals.
• Oversee project risk and profitability management.
• Coordinate with production facilities for plant and site phase compatibility.
• Provide reporting and monitoring for ongoing projects.

Job description

We are seeking a project manager to oversee comprehensive and results-oriented project management. In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned projects, ensuring successful outcomes and risk management. You will ensure the overall project progresses in a planned, controlled, cost-efficient, and goal-oriented manner, delivering the best possible result both qualitatively and financially. You will work in close collaboration with production facilities, customers, and various authorities. Depending on project size you will be responsible for 1-3 projects simultaneously, with project sizes ranging from 1-10 million euros.

Location & Remote Work
