Job summary

Evac Group in Espoo, Finland, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex customer projects from sales handover to warranty completion. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure delivery to the highest commercial and technical standards in international markets.

The role requires proven project leadership, strong stakeholder management, proficiency with ERP and PM tools, and fluent English. Finnish or other languages are a plus.

Evac is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex customer projects from sales handover through to final delivery and warranty completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

As a key customer-facing representative of Evac, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project schedules and budgets, oversee commercial and technical execution, and ensure successful project outcomes across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, from sales handover to warranty completion.
• Ensure contractual obligations and customer expectations are met.
• Take ownership of project budgets, cash flow, schedules, scope, and risk management.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when required.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
• Coordinate communication between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with shipyards, ship operators, equipment manufacturers, and other external partners.
• Provide commercial and technical feedback to support project success.

Planning & Control

• Develop and maintain project plans and schedules.
• Manage project risks, issues, and change requests.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with Evac processes, tools, and project management standards.
• Track project progress and report on key milestones and deliverables.

Project Administration

• Open and maintain project records within ERP and project management systems.
• Support order handling and manufacturing follow-up activities.
• Manage invoice plans, credit note documentation, and invoicing coordination.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, finance, and documentation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience managing complex projects within an international environment.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful customer projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, contracts, and financial performance.
• Ability to lead virtual and matrix teams across multiple functions and locations.
• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and project management tools.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Project-related applications.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Engineering understanding with the ability to learn and apply technical product knowledge.

Desirable

• Experience within the marine, shipbuilding, offshore, industrial equipment, or engineering sectors.
• Additional language skills such as Finnish, German, Chinese, or other international business languages.
• Experience working in global project delivery organizations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain processes.
