Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Product Manager for BU Automation to own the machine automation portfolio, define requirements, and drive development. The role is based in Tampere or Turku, Finland, with travel to mines and customers as needed.

You will lead product strategy, roadmap, and coordination with R&D, sales, and external partners to deliver automated mining solutions. This role requires strong leadership, proactivity, and frequent collaboration across functions within a global company.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, software or related field.
• At least five years of experience in mining and/or similar industry space or automation/ICT/software industry.
• Experience with underground and surface mining applications and mine planning is an advantage.
• Experience with large scale software systems for industrial production management.
• Product management, business development, or product engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product vision and strategy including the product roadmap and ensure alignment with current product offering.
• Oversee product development and sponsor according to product development process definitions (internal customer to R&D and Engineering function).
• Define product requirements to meet customer needs and business objectives.
• Ensure and improve alignment with equipment divisions and development roadmaps.
• Create and maintain all required product related documentation.
