Job summary

Fortum is recruiting a Manager, Purchasing Operations to lead a team responsible for purchase transactions, spend channels and P2P system support. The role focuses on performance management, data-driven decisions and change leadership to improve efficiency, compliance and value delivery.

You will champion system adoption, support transformation initiatives and drive scalable purchasing operations — reporting to Senior Manager, Procurement Enablement & Operations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of work experience in procurement.
• At least 2 years in a manager position.
• Strong understanding of purchase-to-pay processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and service mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Purchasing Operations team ensuring high-quality, compliant execution of transactions and end-user support.
• Drive operational excellence in exception handling and vendor queries.
• Oversee validation of purchase requests and management of POs and changes.
• Oversee contract translation and implementation into P2P systems, ensuring accuracy and system integrity.
• Build strong partnerships with Procurement, Finance, IT and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
