University of Turku invites applications for a 3-year fixed-term PhD project focusing on the effect of ischemic heart disease on multiorgan perfusion using long axial field of view PET/CT. The position is a doctoral candidate under the MSCA DN programme, with heavy emphasis on cross-disciplinary clinical research and image analysis across partner sites.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine and Health Biosciences (MSc degree or equivalent).
• Very good command of English; Finnish knowledge is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility.
• Technical skills in medical imaging are beneficial.
• Experience with medical imaging data is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Conduct hands-on LAFOV PET/CT clinical research to advance myocardial perfusion analysis.
• Develop and evaluate methods for automated analysis of LAFOV perfusion studies.
• Perform multi-organ kinetic analysis and parametric LAFOV imaging.
• Collaborate across academia and industry in secondments and data exchange.
