Job summary

Valmet invites you to join its Payroll Finland team as a Payroll & Time Management Process Specialist. You will own and develop payroll and time management processes, systems, and operating models, acting as the main user and expert to drive efficient, compliant, and scalable solutions.

In this role, you will partner with HR, IT, and external vendors, support system implementations, and champion automation and digitalization while ensuring compliance with Finnish labor laws and collective

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in payroll, time management, HR operations, or related process roles.
• Strong understanding of payroll and HR systems, integrations, and end-to-end data flows.
• A passion for process development, continuous improvement, automation, and digitalization.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive change in a complex environment.
• Experience as a key user, super user, process owner, or system specialist.
• Background in payroll service providers, accounting firms, shared service centres, or HR Operations environments.
• Experience with Workday, Nepton, W web, or similar HR and time management systems.
• Understanding of Finnish Labor legislation, collective agreements, and working time regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop payroll and time management processes, systems, and operating models.
• Act as the main user and key expert for payroll and time management solutions.
• Drive process harmonization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support system implementations, integrations, testing, and change management activities.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and collective agreement requirements.
• Provide reporting, training, and expert support across the organization.
