Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical degree or have lab experience.
• Excellent organizational record-keeping and timely testing/reporting.
• Clear communication of project status; ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborative attitude and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic lab software.
• Safe handling of chemicals, high temperatures, power tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing physical and acoustic properties of cements, polymers, and adhesives using ASTM standards and internal procedures.
• Prepare samples for testing from lab to full room installations including mixing, pouring, cutting and polishing.
• Provide physical testing of sound mat and related activities to support sound mat products and development.
• Organize and maintain sample identification; record preparation and test results digitally.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; manage inventory of supplies.
• Maintain storage systems for laboratory and construction equipment and supplies.
• Gain practical experience in multiple lab testing areas and field trials of new and existing products.
