Job summary

Maillefer Extrusion Oy is looking for an OEM Component Specialist / System Engineer to join their Automation team in Vantaa. This role involves working with OEM components as part of international delivery projects, focusing on the integration of automation and mechanics.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree, experience with automation systems, and strong communication skills in English. The position offers hybrid working possibilities and collaboration with experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet.
• Experience with design tools such as Inventor or AutoCAD.
• Experience with ERP systems is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participating in equipment-level customer project design.
• Maintaining and developing product structures and OEM component data.
• Supporting R&D activities related to system and component development.
• Collaborating with OEM Category Manager and specialists.
• Working with OEM suppliers on technical integration and component topics.
• Providing internal support for sales, purchasing, and service.
• Handling technical questions and integration-related issues.

We are looking for an OEM Component Specialist / System Engineer to join Maillefer’s Automation team in Vantaa.

Role description

In this role, you will work with OEM components and system-level solutions as part of international delivery projects. Your focus is on understanding and managing the full equipment entity, including automation, mechanics, and their integration.

You will be involved in customer project design, maintaining product structures, and supporting the development of OEM solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with automation and mechanical engineering teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that selected components and system solutions work seamlessly together. The position includes occasional travel to supplier locations and customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Participating in equipment-level customer project design
• Maintaining and developing product structures and OEM component data
• Supporting R&D activities related to system and component development
• Collaborating with OEM Category Manager, automation specialists, and mechanical engineering
• Working with OEM suppliers on technical, integration, and component-related topics
• Providing internal support for sales, purchasing, and service
• Handling technical questions, feedback, and integration-related issues

What we expect from you
