Job summary

SAAB's Business Unit Surveillance in Finland is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation and commissioning of Naval Combat Systems on a ship platform. You will drive delivery from design to final acceptance, coordinating sensors, CMS, and platform integration.

The role requires travel to Saab Sweden and shipyard presence, fluent in Finnish and English, and strong leadership of cross-functional teams and risk management to meet time, budget, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning/acceptance of complex technical systems.
• Experience with systems-of-systems and maritime integration.
• Background in leading large-scale projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and sub-suppliers.
• Experience in contract management and Statements of Work (SOW).
• Experience with safety-critical systems and verification of requirements.
• IT/security and cyber security experience in a project environment.
• Experience with real-time systems on maritime platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project delivery with a focus on commissioning and implementation.
• Manage Harbour and Sea Acceptance Tests (HAT/SAT) execution and reporting.
• Oversee Set-To-Work activities and ensure SSE readiness.
• Coordinate WoS engineering support for ship/platform integration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks using the risk register.
• Lead the problem reporting process and manage ECPs.
• Act as primary contact for customer and shipyard on schedule and milestones.
