Job summary

Hunaja Works Oy is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer to support offshore projects in the shipbuilding industry. You will participate in commissioning, testing and bringing equipment and systems into operation before handover to the client.

Fluent Finnish and English are required, and prior shipyard experience is preferred. The role combines practical technical work with system testing and problem solving in a demanding shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning, hydraulic understanding and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Problem-solving skills and shipyard industry experience are assets.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced commissioning engineer for our client to support offshore projects in the shipbuilding industry. The role offers a diverse and responsible position where you will participate in commissioning, testing and bringing equipment and systems into operation before handover to the client.

The job requires technical proficiency and fluent Finnish and English.

Typical tasks include inspecting installations, commissioning equipment and systems, adjusting parameters, testing equipment, diagnosing and repairing faults, reading technical drawings and diagrams, collaborating with installation and production teams, and producing commissioning documentation.

Applicants should have experience in commissioning, hydraulic understanding, knowledge of mechanical systems, ability to read mechanical drawings, problem-solving skills, and experience in the shipyard industry is an asset.

Specialized skills include hydraulic systems knowledge, pumps, valves and cylinders, experience in the marine industry, and equipment testing and fault finding.
