Job summary

Bittium is hiring two Members of Technical Staff for its AI Office. You will shape AI tooling and infrastructure, enabling AI in products used by defence, public authorities and healthcare professionals. Hybrid work is available in Oulu or Espoo, with strong emphasis on ownership and impactful, hands-on software development.

You will work across legal, finance, sales, R&D or production to implement AI where it matters most, building safe, scalable AI systems and agent-based products.

Qualifications

• Master the craft of working with language models: prompting, context, agent skills, multi-agent orchestration.
• Build real software fast with coding agents and have opinions on where agentic development goes.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals: frontend, APIs, databases, auth and deployment.
• Architecture, data modeling, clean interfaces, testing, Linux and networking.
• Vision to spot automation opportunities and work with non-engineers.
• Fluent English and working Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Keep us ahead by tracking AI takeoff trends, filtering noise, and steering efforts.
• Go where the work is by collaborating with legal, finance, sales, R&D or production to build AI.
• Run and grow AI infrastructure and applications: inference on GPUs, services, and end-user apps.
• Build the AI our products run on: agent harnesses, models and safeguards for battlefield conditions.
• Make models ours by post-training open-weights models and optimization.
• Make agents safe to trust with alignment and hard boundaries.
