Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Espoo, Finland, to keep mission systems running smoothly by deploying ICEYE software, troubleshooting issues, and improving processes. You will work within the Missions department on hybrid deployments and be part of a security-screened environment.

The role requires a strong DevOps and Kubernetes background, excellent English communication, and a degree in CS. Expect on-call rotation after onboarding, with a focus on reliability and documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: A strong dual foundation in both software development and DevOps principles, at least 5 years of professional experience with a focus on deployment, configuration, and operational management of software services, particularly within Kubernetes. Experience taking technical responsibility for a high-availability service.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English, enabling effective collaboration within an international team and with customer technical representatives.
• Qualifications: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• End-to-End System Diagnosis: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues across the entire stack—from underlying hardware and all layers of networking, up through vSphere, Linux, Kubernetes, and the applications themselves.
• Adaptability: Ability to participate in on-call rotation after 6 months onboarding is expected.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

The Technical Stack that you will be working with: Kubernetes (SUSE Rancher), Helm, on-prem/hybrid cloud deployments (VMware), Infrastructure as Code and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, Go), secrets management (OpenBao/Vault), Grafana observability, containerized PostgreSQL and InfluxDB administration, and REST API integrations.

Base salary range for this position is 5000 - 5900 EUR per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
