Job summary

ICEYE is seeking an IT Systems Lead to head a team of engineers across Finland and Poland, delivering a secure, scalable client platform, AI systems, and identity management. The role combines strategic direction with hands-on leadership in a security‑driven, hybrid Espoo environment.

You will consolidate a fast‑growing toolset, maintain strong incident management and drive audits, partnering with stakeholders and IT teams to align priorities with compliance and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading an IT systems or infrastructure team with hands-on technical experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one major collaboration suite (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) and tools such as Slack and Atlassian.
• Strong experience with identity and access management (e.g. Okta, Entra ID) and endpoint management.
• Experience leading distributed, multi-country teams and managing vendors and budgets.
• Experience using AI tools in operations and automation, and assessing AI-related systems needs.
• A proactive, pragmatic decision-maker who finds simple solutions to complex problems, even with incomplete information.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a high-level national security clearance in Finland.

As IT Systems Lead, you’ll lead a team of 7 engineers in Finland and Poland who own our client platform, collaboration and AI systems, and identity management for users in 10+ countries. Your mandate is to turn a setup that grew fast into one consolidated, secure and scalable foundation, in an environment shaped by defence and national security requirements. It’s a role for a leader who can set direction, stay hands‑on, and adapt quickly as the business grows.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Own the systems strategy and roadmap across client platforms, AI systems, collaboration systems and identity management, and give the team a consistent technical direction
• Lead the consolidation of a fast‑grown toolset into a standardised, secure and scalable platform
• Keep the client platform highly secure and aligned with industry best practices, adapting systems as business needs change
• Keep things running: incident and problem management, escalation, monitoring and SLAs
• Embed business continuity, patch management and logging into how systems are built and run
• Support security audits, accreditations and certifications
• Work with business stakeholders, product teams and neighbouring IT teams (IT Infrastructure, IT Support and Assets, IT Steering and Enablement) to balance priorities, compliance and speed
• Own the systems budget, manage suppliers and consultants, and contribute to quarterly financial planning

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• 5+ years leading an IT systems or infrastructure team, with hands‑on technical experience
