Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Data Center Facilities Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical infrastructure across assigned data center sites in Helsinki. You will manage on-site facilities operations, incident handling, maintenance oversight, and continuous improvement of critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC/Facilities Engineering, Automation, or related discipline.
• Experience in data center facilities or mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, fire protection, and BMS/EPMS/DCIM.
• Proven ability to manage incidents, planned works, maintenance activities, and operational risks in high-availability settings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, stable operation of critical facilities systems (electrical, mechanical, cooling, fire protection, monitoring).
• Lead on-site response to facilities incidents and safety events with escalation and RCA.
• Oversee planned changes, preventive maintenance, and inspections with documentation traceability.
• Monitor capacity, energy efficiency, and reliability; drive site-wide improvements.
• Provide technical support for complex site issues and contribute to equipment reviews and upgrades.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
