Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to oversee fire protection systems and safety compliance across our Helsinki region sites. You will drive corrective actions, train personnel, and implement continuous improvements in fire safety management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1+ year of experience in fire safety within a large enterprise or data center. Strong regulatory knowledge and bilingual proficiency (Chinese a plus) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in fire safety management within a large enterprise, data center, or similar environment.
• Solid understanding of fire protection standards and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect fire protection systems and facilities across sites within the assigned region, and drive service providers to complete corrective actions and close issues.
• Develop and review regional fire safety inspection checklists, acceptance criteria, and corrective action tracking.
• Deliver fire safety training to on-site personnel and organize emergency drills.
• Monitor and report fire safety compliance status for each site with periodic records.
• Supervise providers during drills and evaluate effectiveness with improvement recommendations.
• Lead investigation and root cause analysis of fire incidents and prepare preventive action plans.
• Review fire maintenance plans, test reports and repair proposals from providers.
• Track changes in fire safety laws and ensure timely implementation of standards and procedures.
