Job summary

Clear. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join our team for a major data centre campus near Helsinki, Finland. You will ensure quality, safety, and compliance across MEP works and drive project QA/QC documentation.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree and proven QA/QC experience on large-scale projects, with strong ITP and NCR management capabilities and excellent collaboration with design teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering or construction degree in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Proven QA/QC Engineer experience on large-scale projects, data centre preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP construction methods and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing QA/QC procedures and managing inspections and ITPs.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect MEP works to ensure compliance with specs and regulations.
• Develop and maintain project QA/QC procedures for MEP works.
• Review method statements, ITPs, and quality docs from subcontractors.
• Carry out site inspections and audits; issue NCRs as required.
• Support MEP team in resolving quality issues with technical advice.
• Collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to close quality items.
• Ensure materials/workmanship are inspected, tested, and documented.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and certifications.
• Contribute to reporting by updating quality records and reports.
• Participate in project handover and final QA/QC documentation.
• Promote strong culture of quality, health, safety and compliance.

They are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join the team on a major data centre campus near Helsinki, Finland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that all works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• Monitor and inspect MEP works to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures for MEP works.
• Review and verify method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation submitted by subcontractors.
• Carry out site inspections and audits to verify compliance and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required.
• Support the MEP team in resolving quality issues, providing technical advice, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Collaborate with design teams, project engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely close-out of quality-related matters.
• Ensure materials and workmanship are inspected, tested, and documented in line with specifications and standards.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, certifications, and other quality-related documentation.
• Contribute to performance monitoring and reporting by updating project quality records and supporting regular reporting cycles.
• Participate in project handover activities, ensuring completion of quality dossiers, O&M manuals, and final QA/QC documentation.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, health, safety, and compliance across all MEP works.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Relevant Engineering or Construction degree qualification (Mechanical or Electrical discipline preferred).
• Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in large-scale construction projects, ideally within the data centre, industrial, or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of MEP construction methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and managing inspections and test plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to produce accurate documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical, and deadline-driven environment.
