Job summary

European Data Centre Main Contractor is expanding its electrical QA/QC team in Vaasa, Finland, to oversee quality across a major data centre project. The Electrical QA/QC Engineer will supervise electrical installations, manage ITPs and QC documentation, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs and project standards through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Relevant Electrical Engineering or Construction qualification.
• Proven Electrical QA/QC experience on large scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, testing and quality requirements.
• Hands on experience with ITPs, inspections, NCRs and electrical QA/QC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect LV and MV electrical installations for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Review electrical method statements, ITPs and subcontractor quality documentation.
• Carry out site inspections and electrical quality audits.
• Raise and manage NCRs and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
• Monitor installation quality across cabling, containment, switchgear and electrical equipment.
• Verify electrical testing, certification and inspection records.
• Coordinate quality requirements with Electrical Engineers, Construction Managers and subcontractors.
• Support electrical testing, energisation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate electrical QA/QC records throughout the project.
• Manage electrical quality dossiers, O&M documentation and final handover records.

The Company

This European data centre contractor delivers large scale turnkey projects from design and construction through to commissioning across mainland Europe.

They are expanding their electrical team in Finland and are looking for an Electrical QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality across a major data centre project in Vaasa.

The Role: Electrical QA/QC Engineer

As Electrical QA/QC Engineer, you will take responsibility for quality assurance and quality control across the electrical package, working closely with the Electrical Construction Manager, Project Manager, Quality Team and electrical subcontractors.

You will inspect electrical installations, manage ITPs and quality documentation and ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project standards through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

Must Have Requirements

About You

You will have a strong electrical construction background with previous QA/QC experience on technically demanding projects.

Data centre experience would be particularly beneficial, although candidates coming from large scale pharmaceutical, industrial or mission critical electrical projects will also be considered.

You should be comfortable working directly with electrical site teams and subcontractors and driving quality from installation through testing, commissioning and final handover.
