Job summary

Cititec is seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to lead the delivery of a critical cooling package on a large data centre project in Finland. The role focuses on ownership of the mechanical package and coordination with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

You will ensure safety, quality and schedule compliance while integrating with electrical, commissioning and other disciplines. Experience in hyperscale data centres or mission-critical facilities is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering mechanical construction or package delivery on complex projects.
• Knowledge of critical cooling systems, HVAC, chilled water, chillers and pumps.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing site mechanical works.
• Understanding of construction programmes, quality assurance, health and safety, and commissioning.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience preferred.
• Experience in pharma/industrial/healthcare environments considered.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager with a background in critical cooling systems to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre construction project in Finland.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key mechanical package within a complex, mission-critical environment, coordinating contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the construction programme.

Candidates with experience across hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities or other technically complex construction projects are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of critical cooling and mechanical installation packages throughout the construction phase.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site teams to ensure efficient installation and delivery.
• Monitor project progress against programme milestones, identifying risks and resolving issues where required.
• Oversee installation quality, health and safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate mechanical works with other disciplines, particularly electrical, CSA and commissioning teams.
• Monitor technical documentation, drawings, materials, procurement and installation progress.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover activities.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, resources and package performance.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with contractual requirements and project standards.

Experience and Requirements

• Experience managing mechanical construction, installation or package delivery on complex construction projects.
• Knowledge of critical cooling systems, HVAC, chilled water systems, chillers, pumps and associated mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing site-based mechanical works.
• Understanding of construction programmes, quality assurance, health and safety, and commissioning processes.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in other complex environments, such as pharmaceutical, industrial or healthcare facilities, will also be considered.

Location and Opportunity

The position is based in Finland, supporting the delivery of a major data centre project. Candidates must be willing and able to work in Finland, with relocation requirements discussed during the recruitment process.
