Job summary

Jobtailor in Espoo, Finland seeks a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to own design, development, and optimization of mechanical components for spatial ALD platforms. You will design parts, assemblies, enclosures, and vacuum structures in 3D CAD, create drawings, prototype, test, and analyze components with stress, thermal, and tolerance methods.

Qualifications

• Design mechanical components for industrial equipment with CAD tools.
• Experience with vacuum chambers, sealing, pumping, materials for vacuum.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience including machining and welding.
• Strong understanding of tolerances, materials, ISO and CE safety standards.
• Customer-facing technical work and occasional travel to sites.
• Fluent English in professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and optimization of mechanical components for spatial ALD platforms.
• Design parts, assemblies, enclosures, and vacuum structures in 3D CAD.
• Create drawings and documentation to support designs and prototypes.
• Prototype, test, and analyze components with stress, thermal, and tolerance methods.
• Support tool builds with assembly, fit checks, and design verification.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and production teams.
• Ensure ISO/CE compliance and contribute to safety standards.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites and support installations and upgrades.
