Job summary

CapMan Plc invites you to join as a Manager in Strategy & Corporate Development in Helsinki. You will report to the Group CFO and lead M&A projects, build financial models, and coordinate cross-functional teams across investment groups and external advisors.

You will assess market dynamics, identify growth opportunities and prepare strategic materials for senior management and the Board, while driving execution and governance in a lean organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience from investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development or similar.
• Higher education degree in a relevant area.
• Strong analytical skills with PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
• Strong drive, proactiveness and team player qualities.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&A projects from opportunity screening to execution and integration.
• Develop and maintain long-term financial models and forecasts.
• Act as project leader coordinating activities across investment teams, support functions and external advisors.
• Assess market trends, competitive dynamics and growth opportunities; provide insights to senior management and the Board.
• Facilitate group strategy processes: identify opportunities, plan, document and follow up on priorities.
• Prepare decision-making materials, business cases and presentations for senior management and the Board.

This is an opportunity for you to join CapMan in the role of Manager as part of the Group's Strategy & Corporate Development function.

About the function

The Strategy & Corporate Development function plays a key role in driving CapMan's long-term growth and operational development. The function leads CapMan's Group M&A and corporate development as well as the Group's long term financial planning. It is a small, senior team working directly with the group management, usually with several growth projects running in parallel.

About the role

As a Manager in Strategy & Corporate Development, you will report to and work closely with the Group CFO. Your daily tasks will include e.g.

• Managing M&A projects from opportunity screening to execution and integration, as well as external and internal corporate development initiatives
• Developing and maintaining long-term financial models and forecasts to support strategy, capital allocation and business planning
• Acting as a project leader, coordinating activities across investment teams, support functions and external advisors
• Assessing market trends, competitive dynamics and growth opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board
• Facilitating group strategy processes, including identification of new opportunities, analysis, planning, documentation and follow-up of strategic priorities
• Preparing decision-making materials, business cases and presentations for senior management, the Board and other key stakeholders

Who you are

To be successful in this role we believe that you have:

• 5+ years of experience from working within investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or similar
• Higher education degree in a relevant area
• Strong analytical skills with a good command of e.g. PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI
• Fluency in both Finnish and English
• Strong drive, proactiveness and team player skills
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

In addition, it is seen as a benefit if you bring some understanding of fund mechanics and private asset investments, along with genuine interest in the industry. The role requires the ability to work independently in a lean organization, manage multiple parallel projects in a cross-functional setting, and communicate effectively with senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
