Job summary

GFL Environmental Services Inc. (GESI) is seeking a Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting to oversee monthly closes, IFRS-compliant reporting, and consolidation for multiple entities from our Vaughan head office.

You will lead the balance sheet governance, lease accounting under IFRS 16, and coordination with external auditors, while coaching staff in close processes and ensuring high-quality financial narratives for leadership and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• CPA designation or international equivalent with IFRS background.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive corporate accounting/finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off monthly journal entries across entities.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end cutoffs.
• Lead IFRS 16 lease accounting and consolidation processes.
• Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare standalone legal entity financial statements for tax filings.
