Job summary

Finlink Group in Sarnia, Ontario seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across a diverse portfolio including real estate development and technology investments.

You will oversee day-to-day accounting, tax coordination with external advisors, and cross-border reporting with U.S. partners, while mentoring the finance team and partnering with executives on strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with leadership roles.
• CPA designation in Canada required; Canadian/US dual CPA preferred.
• Experience across multiple entities, real estate development, investments, or technology businesses.
• Familiarity with CMHC financing (ACLP) and cross-border accounting is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and oversight.
• Coordinate audits and ensure Canadian GAAP compliance with cross-border US considerations.
• Oversee tax activities with external advisors and coordinate with cross-border teams.
• Manage project costing, construction draws, and lender reporting for real estate.
• Oversee consolidations, reporting, and integration for investment holdings.
• Provide cash flow, capital planning, and financial modelling guidance.
