Job summary

CORA - Jonas Software in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Business Development Associate to fuel M&A deal origination in the software sector. You will source, qualify, and nurture acquisition opportunities, while engaging with founders and senior leaders to move deals through the pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in deal origination, business development, software sales or investment related roles.
• Experience with Salesforce and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience integrating or experimenting with AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research companies using public and internal tools to gather contact details.
• Follow up with owners and executives seeking to sell their business.
• Record-keeping and deal flow tracking in Salesforce.
• Source deals through top funnel activities and build target lists.
• Liaise with CORA M&A leadership to tailor acquisition approaches.
• Develop industry knowledge via research and events.
