Griffdon Engineering Ltd. seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to lead all logistics on a major hyperscale data centre campus in Helsinki, Finland. The role covers planning, coordination, and execution of site logistics, materials management, and cross-team collaboration.

You will manage warehousing, deliveries, inventory, and digital platforms like Procore, ACC, and ERP systems, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across Europe.

Qualifications

  • Experience on major construction, industrial, pharma, or data centre projects.
  • Strong planning, organisational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Griffdon Engineering Ltd, established in 2001, is a leading electrical engineering and utilities contractor delivering large-scale projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. We specialise in electrical installations, utility infrastructure, and mission-critical projects within the data centre, life sciences, and renewable energy sectors. As our operations continue to expand across Europe, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead all logistics activities on a major hyperscale data centre campus in Helsinki, Finland.

The Role

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all site logistics and materials management activities, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, plant, tools, and equipment across multiple concurrent project areas

Working closely with project management, procurement, commercial, construction, quality, and safety teams, you will play a critical role in maintaining programme milestones and supporting successful project delivery

This is a site-based position within a fast-paced, highly regulated data centre construction environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all warehouse, logistics, and material handling activities for the project.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics strategies aligned with project schedules and milestones.
  • Coordinate deliveries from suppliers, manufacturers, freight providers, and internal operations teams.
  • Manage material receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, inventory control, and distribution.
  • Implement efficient material tracking systems and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of project-critical materials.
  • Oversee warehouse personnel, logistics coordinators, and material handlers.
  • Ensure compliance with project quality procedures, environmental requirements, and health & safety regulations.
  • Support implementation of digital logistics platforms, including Procore, ACC, and other inventory management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Logistics Manager, Materials Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar role.
  • Proven experience on major construction, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory management, procurement interfaces, and supply chain coordination.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms.
  • Understanding of health & safety requirements within construction environments.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience working in Europe or on international construction projects.
  • Knowledge of Procore, ACC, MS Project, SAP, or ERP inventory systems.
  • Experience managing multi-contractor logistics operations.
  • Forklift, lifting operations, or logistics-related certifications.
