Job summary

Valmet's Energy and Circularity Business Unit seeks a Structural Analysis Specialist to drive development, optimization and continuous improvement of advanced energy technologies, including boilers and flue gas cleaning systems.

You will apply FEA/FEM methods, primarily Ansys, to support design decisions, troubleshoot issues, and enhance product performance. A Master's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience are required, with fluent English essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural analysis and strength calculations.
• Hands-on experience with FEA/FEM and software like Ansys is a plus.
• Strong understanding of welded steel structures and boiler-related knowledge is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and strength analyses using FEA/FEM to support development, projects, service, and troubleshooting.
• Provide structural analysis for boilers, flue gas cleaning systems, and related products.
• Evaluate structural integrity and material behavior to support design decisions.
• Contribute to development and continuous improvement of analysis methods and tools.
• Collaborate with product teams and specialists to solve engineering challenges and improve performance.
