Job summary

Elomatic is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the Structural Analysis team in Jyväskylä. You will guide a 60+ specialist group, manage projects, and drive process improvements while shaping the team’s growth and competencies.

With a strong background in structural analysis and customer-facing experience, you will balance technical leadership with sales collaboration, using English as a working language. Hybrid work and professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• A relevant higher education degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.).
• A few years of experience in structural analysis and related software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Experience working with customers and participating in sales activities.
• Strong project management skills, including resource planning, problem solving, time management, and organization.
• Motivation to lead, coach, and develop people while guiding your team toward shared goals.
• Fluent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

We’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead our Structural Analysis team in Jyväskylä. Could this be your next career step?

Your role and the team

At Elomatic, you’ll join a strong and growing technical analysis team. We have over 60 specialists, nearly 40 of whom work in structural analysis within our consulting business. Our expertise spans the process, energy, machinery, and marine industries, and continuous learning is at the heart of how we work. Whether it’s a new tool or method, we support each other’s development and value both experience and learning.

Our analysis projects cover multiple industries and range from assignments lasting a few days to partnerships that continue for years, sometimes even decades. The projects can be challenging, but the colleagues are always amazing!

In this role, you’ll lead our Structural Analysis team in Jyväskylä. Your responsibilities include
