Job summary

Finnair is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead software engineers across the Revenue & Retail domain. This is a people-leadership role that collaborates with tribe Leads, Product and Design, and Delivery Managers to drive delivery and developer experience.

You will coach teams, recruit talent, and ensure adherence to engineering standards while driving DevOps maturity and AI-assisted development in a high-traffic, consumer-facing digital platform.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in software development, with 2+ years in a people leadership or team lead role.
• Hands-on engineering depth to follow technical discussions and earn engineers’ trust.
• Experience working in agile, product-led environments where engineers own outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop software engineers across the domain; focus on growth and wellbeing.
• Recruit and onboard engineering talent across the tribes and build healthy teams.
• Ensure teams align with Finnair’s engineering standards and practices; partner on technical direction.
