Job summary

Finnair QA Engineering Lead is sought to own the technical direction for quality across Digital Engineering. Based at our HQ near Helsinki Airport, you’ll drive the shift toward AI-assisted, automated quality and collaborate with the Principal Engineer and product teams.

The role requires setting strategy, standards and tooling, mentoring engineers, and ensuring quality is embedded in CI/CD and DevOps. A senior, hands-on leader with 7–8+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years in software quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Experience leading quality initiatives across multiple teams.
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate with stakeholders.
• Product mindset and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Set quality strategy, standards and frameworks across Digital Engineering.
• Own shared quality tooling and practices across teams.
• Drive test automation at unit, integration, end-to-end, performance and security levels.
• Mentor engineers on testing strategy and testable-by-design systems.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineer, Engineering Managers and product teams.
• Guide adoption of AI-assisted development and modern QA practices.
