Lead Mobile Developer — The Architect of Our Mobile Experience

Location: Erottaja, Helsinki, Finland | Hybrid: 4 days/week on-site | Reports To: Chief Product Officer (CPO)

Our app is the primary way our end users interact with the Zevoy platform. Handling everything from daily receipt capture to 3D Secure approvals, the mobile experience is a critically important part of our service and the core of what our customers love.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior iOS Developer who is hungry to step up, take ownership, and grow into a Lead Mobile Developer. You do not need to have held a formal "Lead" title before, but you must be driven to take full ownership of Zevoy’s mobile platform and serve as the technical voice for our apps. Working closely with the CPO and Creative Director, you will shape our technical roadmap and translate customer experience (CX) vision into reality. Your primary engineering foundation will be iOS, but you will also drive our Android development utilizing modern AI-assisted workflows. This is a unique opportunity to lead technical decisions, elevate a tight-knit team of engineers, and ensure consistency across both platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Platform Ownership: Define the mobile technical roadmap alongside leadership, architecting a structured iOS application that serves as a consistent blueprint for our AI-assisted Android development.
• Customer Experience Integration: Champion the build-measure-learn loop, translating early UX direction and customer feedback into technical decisions that guarantee a unified, top-tier feel across all devices.
• AI-Leveraged Android Delivery: Drive Android delivery by acting as the final gatekeeper for AI-generated output, catching platform-specific edge cases, and ensuring native-quality consistency.
• Engineering Standards & Health: Define mobile engineering standards, manage technical debt proactively, and ensure app performance, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and security meet Zevoy's strict regulatory requirements as a licensed EMI.
• Technical Mentorship & Interface: Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex problems, raise the team's bar through code reviews, and define clear API contracts with our full-stack engineers.

What You Bring

Must-have's:

• Solid iOS Core: 5+ years of senior-level engineering experience with native iOS ( Swift ), possessing the technical depth required to own architecture, tooling, and app performance decisions.
• Hunger for Leadership: You are ready to step out of the individual contributor bubble to take full ownership, mentor peers, and actively shape what gets built.
• AI-Augmented Mindset: You actively use or are ready to embrace AI coding assistants to multiply your output, specifically using your deep engineering knowledge to guide and govern Android code generation.
• Product-Minded Empathy: You understand that customer experience is the core driver for mobile development and care deeply about how your code behaves in the hands of the user.
• Language & Location: Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to work from our Erottaja office in Helsinki 3 days per week.

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous hands-on experience with Android development.
• Background working in expense management, payments, or regulated fintech environments.
