Job summary

Owatec Group Oy in Oulu is seeking a Lead Engineer to steer process engineering and procurement, drive product development, and act as a central expert within an international Sulzer Water Treatment Solutions network.

You will lead, collaborate across disciplines and deliver wastewater treatment solutions while guiding project execution and ensuring safety, compliance and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
• 5+ years relevant engineering experience
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles
• Experience in product development and project delivery
• Knowledge of CAD design tools, Vertex or equivalent
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills
• Wastewater treatment knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the process engineering and procurement team
• Drive product development and project engineering activities
• Act as a process engineering expert within the Sulzer Water Treatment Solutions network
• Provide support to mechanical, electrical and automation engineering on projects
• Ensure product safety, compliance and technical documentation
• Oversee CAD design activities (Vertex or similar tools)
• Contribute to customer-specific wastewater treatment solutions
• Manage smaller engineering projects when needed
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers and project teams
