Job summary
Valmet is seeking a process-focused engineer to advance circular economy through plastics pyrolysis technology in our Raisio, Finland team. You will help develop, pilot, commission, and support commercial deployment of pyrolysis solutions, collaborating with R&D, engineering, service and customers.
The role requires a degree in chemical/ process/ mechanical engineering, experience with plastics pyrolysis or related industries, and fluent English, with willingness to travel internationally.
Qualifications
- Degree in chemical/process/ mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience in plastics pyrolysis, chemical recycling or related process industries.
- Ability to read P&IDs and flow diagrams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Fluent English; travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Support development and commercialization of plastics pyrolysis technology.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, startup and operation of pilot plants.
- Analyze process performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, service and customers to improve plant performance.
- Provide technical support for customer projects and site visits.
- Contribute to lifecycle services for pyrolysis plants.
