Job summary

Valmet is seeking a process engineer to advance circular economy through plastics pyrolysis technology. You will support development, testing, commissioning, startup, and operation of pilot and demonstration plants, while collaborating with R&D, engineering, and customer teams to enhance plant performance and reliability.

The role requires a B.Sc./M.Sc. in a related field, experience in plastics pyrolysis or similar industries, and willingness to travel internationally.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the development and commercialization of Valmet's plastics pyrolysis technology.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, startup, and operation of pilot and demonstration plants.

• Work closely with R&D, engineering, service, and customer teams to improve plant performance and reliability.

Expectations for you

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in plastics pyrolysis, chemical recycling, refining, petrochemicals, renewable fuels, or similar process industries.
• Solid understanding of industrial process equipment, process operations, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read process and engineering documentation such as P&IDs and flow diagrams.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally.
