Job summary

Veikkaus is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to elevate the Data as a Service team within its TECH organization. This permanent, full‑time role focuses on data engineering, leadership, and continuous process improvement in a hybrid Helsinki setting.

You will guide a ~20‑person team, design data pipelines, and advance data platforms while collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Strong English and agile experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing data solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy new data pipelines and platform components.
• Continuously develop team practices, tools, and processes.
• Guide daily work and support the implementation of changes.
• Lead the team in technical data processing initiatives.
• Work across the full data lifecycle: integration, transformation, storage, and delivery for analytics.
