Job summary

Veikkaus is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to elevate the Data as a Service team within its TECH organization. This permanent, full‑time role focuses on data engineering, leadership, and continuous process improvement in a hybrid Helsinki setting.

You will guide a ~20‑person team, design data pipelines, and advance data platforms while collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Strong English and agile experience are required.

Lead Data Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to bring additional expertise and insight to our approximately 20‑person Data as a Service team, part of Veikkaus’ TECH organization. This is a permanent, full‑time position focused on data engineering, leadership, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing data solutions
• Design, build, and deploy new data pipelines and platform components
• Continuously develop team practices, tools, and processes
• Guide daily work and support the implementation of changes
• Lead the team in technical data processing initiatives
• Work across the full data lifecycle: integration, transformation, storage, and delivery for analytics
