Job summary

Ramboll Group A/S is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for our Nordic DataCenterFacilities team in Finland. You will lead electrical design for data center and mission-critical projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams from concept through handover, while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires experience in datacenter design, consulting engineering, and strong communication skills to engage clients and stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience with leading electrical design teams and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams where the best overall solution for the client may not be the optimal electrical design.
• Experience with designing or constructing datacenter facilities.
• Experience working as a consulting electrical engineer.
• A thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
• Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts to our clients and project team partners in plain language, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design for data center and mission-critical projects from concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Design and oversee critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, utility intake, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, backup power, grounding, bonding, and related electrical systems.
• Ensure technical compliance, safety, and quality by applying relevant standards, codes, authority requirements, client specifications, and internal design principles.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including mechanical, civil, structural, automation, ICT/BMS systems, consultants, contractors, vendors, utilities, authorities, and clients.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and engineering assurance, including reviewing drawings, calculations, single-line diagrams, studies, specifications, equipment selections, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
