Job summary

Ramboll Finland’s DataCenterFacilities team is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design for data center projects, lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure robust, compliant power infrastructure.

You will join a global network of DataCenter specialists in the Nordics, UK, USA, India and Asia, with a flexible hybrid work model and strong focus on work-life balance and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading electrical design teams
  • Experience designing or constructing data center facilities
  • Experience as a consulting electrical engineer
  • Thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360
  • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex concepts clearly

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical design for data center and mission-critical projects from concept through construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Design and oversee critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, utility intake, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, grounding and related systems
  • Ensure technical compliance, safety, and quality by applying standards, codes, and client specs
  • Coordinate electrical interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and engineering assurance including drawings, calculations, studies, specs, and documentation

Your new role

As our new Lead Electrical Engineer, you will work to create DataCentersolutions for our clients. You will be part of our Nordics group for DataCenterFacilities in Finlandcooperating with our global organization. You will work as part of passionate teams filled with talents from all over the world, your core colleagues are in locationsFinland, but you’ll also become part of our Global DataCenterSpearhead and will benefit from +150 DataCenterspecialists in theNordics,U.K., U.S.A., India,and Asia as your new colleagues.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Lead and manage electrical design for data center and mission-critical projects from concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover.

Design and oversee critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, utility intake, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, backup power, grounding, bonding, and related electrical systems.

Ensure technical compliance, safety, and quality by applying relevant standards, codes, authority requirements, client specifications, and internal design principles.

Coordinate electrical interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including mechanical, civil, structural, automation, ICT/BMS systems, consultants, contractors, vendors, utilities, authorities, and clients.

Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and engineering assurance, including reviewing drawings, calculations, single-line diagrams, studies, specifications, equipment selections, risk assessments, and technical documentation.

Experience with leading electrical design teams and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams where the best overall solution for the client may not be theoptimalelectrical design.

Experience with designing or constructing datacenterfacilities.

Experience working as a consulting electrical engineer.

A thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.

Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts to our clients and project team partners in plain language, verbally and in writing.
