Job summary

Refined is seeking an AI architecture lead to own the AI layer, shaping how we build features and scale AI capabilities across production.

You will work with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS) and Claude via AWS Bedrock, using a Node.js and Vue/React stack, and report to the CTO.

Qualifications

• Experience defining AI feature architectures and production-ready patterns.
• Experience building scalable AI features in production including RAG pipelines, tool use and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Defining how we build AI features - setting patterns and architectural principles for engineers to follow.
• Building and expanding AI capabilities in production - RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, tool use, prompt engineering, lightweight evals.
• Working across AWS infrastructure (Lambda, ECS, RDS) using Claude via AWS Bedrock, with a Node.js and Vue/React stack.
• Collaborating cross-team with engineers, product managers, and the CTO to translate the AI product vision into concrete, shippable work.
• Helping reimagine how people interact with software.
