Job summary

Nokia is seeking an ambitious Research & Innovation specialist to drive 6G radio research and standardization. You will lead end-to-end development of 6G radio interfaces, AI-driven PHY concepts, and RF performance optimization, shaping the next generation of mobile communications.

You will collaborate with RAN, RF, regulatory, and system teams, contribute to 3GPP standardization, and represent Nokia in external research forums while advancing MIMO, initial access, and L1 control technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's/PhD in electrical engineering, communications, or signal processing.
• Strong expertise in 5G/6G radio and RF system design.
• Experience with link- and system-level simulators for wireless research.
• Familiarity with 3GPP standardization processes.
• Proven ability to lead research programs and publish IP.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end 6G radio research and standardization activities.
• Validate concepts with link- and system-level simulations.
• Develop IP related to MIMO, AI-enabled PHY techniques.
• Represent Nokia in 3GPP and external research forums.
• Collaborate with RAN, RF, regulatory, and system teams to transition concepts into product-ready tech.
