Job summary

ALTEN Finland is seeking two Layout Engineers to support demanding power system projects, including STATCOM and substation solutions. You will develop layouts and 3D models, produce installation documentation, and coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams in an international project environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on layout engineering experience for industrial, energy, or substation projects.
• Solid understanding of 3D modelling, assembly drawings and installation documentation.
• Strong BIM coordination skills for multidisciplinary model integration.
• Excellent communication for international project environments.
• Experience using Revit and SolidWorks for layout tasks.

Job description

We are currently looking for two Layout Engineers to support demanding power system projects related to STATCOM and substation solutions. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and be responsible for layout design, 3d modelling, and installation documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities

• Develop STATCOM and substation layouts and 3d models in Revit and SolidWorks
• Produce assembly, installation, and engineering documentation
• Coordinate layouts, interfaces, clearances, and foundation inputs
• Support BIM integration and design reviews
• Collaborate with suppliers, project teams, and site personnel throughout project execution

To succeed in this role, you have

• Strong hands‑on experience with Revit and SolidWorks
• Experience in layout engineering for industrial, energy, or substation projects
• Knowledge of 3d modelling, assembly drawings, and installation documentation
• Understanding of equipment arrangement, interfaces, clearances, and foundation design inputs
• Good understanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model integration
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international project environment
