Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a KVV / Underground Services Supervisor to join the site delivery team on a major 150MW data centre project in Finland. The role reports to the MEP / Construction Project Lead and sits within the PMC representing the end client on site.

You will supervise underground KVV and external utilities, coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical workstreams, review drawings and method statements, and ensure delivery to design, schedule and safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience in KVV, underground services, utilities or civil infrastructure supervision.
• Experience supervising teams and coordinating multiple construction disciplines.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction quality, safety and inspection processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure or data centre projects is desirable.
• Experience in client-side, PMC or consultancy environments is advantageous.
• Finnish construction experience and knowledge of local standards/regulations would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and delivery of underground KVV / external utility services.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works meet drawings, specs and method statements.
• Coordinate underground services with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical workstreams.
• Review installation sequences, documentation and construction methodologies.
• Carry out site inspections to verify quality, progress and compliance.
• Identify issues and work with project teams to resolve them.
• Monitor trenching, pipework, drainage and associated underground infrastructure.
• Ensure inspections, testing and documentation are completed.
• Provide updates to the PMC project management team.
• Coordinate interfaces between underground services and other site infrastructure.
• Support permits, inspections, approvals and technical queries.
• Ensure works comply with HSE and Finnish regulations.
• Support commissioning and final completion activities as required.

KVV / Underground Services Supervisor: Data Centre

Location: Finland

Representing: Project Management Consultancy (PMC) / End Client

The Role We are currently recruiting for a KVV / Underground Services Supervisor to join the site delivery team on a major 150MW hyperscale data centre project in Finland.

The successful candidate will work for the Project Management Consultancy (PMC), representing the end client on site, and will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination and quality control of underground KVV and associated external services across the project.

This is a site-based position working alongside the client, PMC, main contractor and specialist subcontractors to ensure underground services are delivered safely, to programme and in accordance with the approved design, specifications and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and delivery of underground KVV / external utility services on the data centre project.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate underground services with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical workstreams.
• Review and monitor installation sequences, technical documentation and construction methodologies.
• Carry out regular site inspections to verify quality, progress and compliance.
• Identify design, coordination and construction issues and work with the relevant project teams to resolve them.
• Monitor trenching, excavation, pipework, drainage and associated underground infrastructure where applicable.
• Ensure required inspections, testing and documentation are completed throughout the works.
• Review subcontractor progress and provide regular updates to the PMC project management team.
• Coordinate interfaces between underground services and other site infrastructure.
• Support the management of permits, inspections, approvals and technical queries relating to underground services.
• Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with project HSE requirements and Finnish regulations.
• Monitor the production of as-built information and handover documentation.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings with the client, PMC, main contractor and subcontractors.
• Support commissioning and final completion activities relating to underground services where required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in KVV, underground services, utilities or civil infrastructure supervision.
• Previous experience working as a Supervisor, Foreman, Site Manager, Project Engineer, Infrastructure Supervisor or similar.
• Strong understanding of underground utility installation and site infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction disciplines.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction quality, safety and inspection processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Previous experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure or data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a client-side, PMC or consultancy environment would be advantageous.
• Finnish construction experience and knowledge of local standards/regulations would be beneficial.

Project Environment
