Job summary

Kaarea Oy in Turku is seeking a roaming kitchen assistant to schools and day cares in the city center. The position is permanent and part-time, 4 hours per day, with weekends generally free.

You will handle light food preparation, packaging, dishwashing and cheerful customer service together with the team. A hygiene passport is required, and a criminal record extract must be provided within three weeks of starting.

Job description

We are looking for a roaming kitchen assistant to schools and day cares in Turku city center. The position is permanent and part-time, 4 hours per day.

We serve customers in the morning hours, so weekends are generally free.

The job requires a hygiene passport. The selected person must present a criminal record extract concerning the law on criminal background checks for persons working with children within three weeks of starting employment.

In your role you will take care of a range of kitchen tasks, such as small-scale food preparation, packaging, dishwashing, and cheerful customer service together with the rest of the team.

We require candidates to have a basic qualification in the Catering sector or an equivalent qualification in the kitchen field, and experience in the field.

You are proactive and have a good attitude towards kitchen work. The kitchen tasks can be physically demanding at times and work days may be episodic and variable.

Knowledge of Aromi14 production control system is beneficial but not required.
