Job summary

Crown is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor for a site-based rotational role in Finland. You will support the commercial delivery of high-value projects under the Commercial Manager, gaining exposure from tender through final account, while rotating between sites with flights and accommodation provided.

Ideal candidates are recent QS graduates or have construction experience and are keen to develop a long-term career in quantity surveying on large-scale European projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant construction industry experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.
• Willingness to work away from home on a rotational basis in Frankfurt, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tender preparation and pricing submissions.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Support interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Assist with procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and site documentation.
• Assist with subcontractor management and payment applications.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Work closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams.
• Carry out site measurements and progress assessments.
• Ensure contractual documentation is maintained accurately and on time.
• Support successful commercial delivery from start to finish.

This is a site-based rotational position, so you'll need to be comfortable working away from home on a rotational basis. Flights and accommodation are provided.

The Role

Essential Requirements
