Job summary

SEB Life & Pension is modernising how software is built, tested and deployed. We are seeking a Junior Software Platform Engineer to help shape software engineering at scale.

You may be a recent graduate or early in your career with a technical degree and a strong will to learn. You will join a team building tooling, automation and platform capabilities used across our development organisation, focusing on CI/CD, engineering tooling, containers, IaC and AI-assisted software engineering.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or up to a few years of professional experience.
• Technical university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Engineering Physics or similar field.
• Curiosity, technical foundation and motivation to learn are valued more than tenure.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve engineering capabilities used across the development organisation.
• Create tooling, automation and platform services to speed, secure and simplify software delivery.
• Work with CI/CD, automated testing and standardisation across teams.
• Develop containers, Kubernetes environments and infrastructure as code.
• Explore AI-assisted and agentic software engineering within the lifecycle.
