Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy is helping a client fill a 12-month fixed-term embedded consultant role in mechanical engineering. You will develop mechanical components and assemblies while adapting designs to customer orders, collaborating with engineering, production, and supplier teams.

You will produce and update 3D models, prepare precise manufacturing drawings, and maintain up-to-date design records in PDM and ERP systems, ensuring production has accurate information to build components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in mechanical engineering (or finalizing studies).
• Hands-on experience with PTC Creo (from studies, internships, thesis work, or academic/personal projects).
• Fluent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update 3D models for mechanical parts and subsystems.
• Prepare accurate, detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Adapt established product designs to order-specific requirements.
• Keep design records and related information up to date in PDM and ERP systems.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers.
