Job summary

AFRY Finland is seeking a recent graduate or early-career Analyst/Consultant to join our energy, bioindustry and sustainability team. You will contribute to strategic, market analysis and transaction advisory projects in Finland and internationally, collaborating with colleagues across AFRY.

You will analyse markets, develop techno-economic or financial analyses, and translate findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• University degree education, preferably M.Sc. in Engineering, Business or other relevant field, with good academic performance
• True interest in business and market analysis in the energy or bioindustry sector; minimum 2 years of relevant industry sector or management consulting experience for a Consultant role
• Strong quantitative and qualitative problem solving skills with capability to develop models
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and in an understandable manner
• Full fluency in English (oral and written) is a necessity, proficiency in any other language is a clear advantage
• Independent thinking, initiative and a commercial mindset when working to budgets and deadlines.
• Excellent team work capabilities and communication skills; Willingness to work in a variety of different roles and across sectors.
• Energy, drive and interest in pursuing a career as a consultant
• To excel in this role, you are a result orientated self-starter, have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy being part of a team, work well under pressure, are keen to learn new and value variety in your work.

Responsibilities

• Analyse markets and industry developments using quantitative and qualitative methods, identifying the insights and conclusions that matter
• Develop techno-economic or financial analysis, e.g cash-flow modelling for client projects, or carry out commercial and technical due diligence to support clients in transaction processes
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver work to agreed deadlines, quality standards and expectations
• Create clear reports, presentations and other materials that make complex messages accessible and compelling
• Collaborate with diverse, international project teams to develop solutions and support informed action
• Contribute ideas to project delivery, proposals and business development activities
• Use approved digital and AI tools responsibly, checking inputs, outputs and underlying sources for accuracy
• Build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients while continuously developing your sector knowledge and consulting skills
