Job summary

AFRY Management Consulting in Finland is seeking a recent graduate or early-career Analyst/Consultant with up to three years of relevant experience and a strong interest in energy and bioindustry sector transition.

You will join our team of energy, bioindustry and sustainability consultants in Finland and contribute to challenging strategic, market analysis and advisory projects for local and international clients.

Job Description

We are looking for a recent graduate or early-career Analyst/Consultant with up to three years of relevant professional experience and a strong interest in either the energy and bioindustry sector transition. You will join our team of energy, bioindustry and sustainability consultants in Finland and contribute to challenging strategic, market analysis, organizational transformation and transaction advisory projects for clients in Finland and internationally, in close collaboration with colleagues in the international AFRY organisation.

You will be working in client projects, where you will help analyse and model market developments, assess investment cases and translate the findings into clear insights and practical recommendations for clients.

You are expected to:

• Analyse markets and industry developments using quantitative and qualitative methods, identifying the insights and conclusions that matter.
• Develop techno-economic or financial analysis, e.g cash-flow modelling for client projects, or carry out commercial and technical due diligence to support clients in transaction processes
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver work to agreed deadlines, quality standards and expectations.
• Create clear reports, presentations and other materials that make complex messages accessible and compelling.
• Collaborate with diverse, international project teams to develop solutions and support informed action.
• Contribute ideas to project delivery, proposals and business development activities.
• Use approved digital and AI tools responsibly, checking inputs, outputs and underlying sources for accuracy.
• Build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients while continuously developing your sector knowledge and consulting skills.

Qualifications

The person we are looking for should have the following skills and capabilities:

• University degree education, preferably M.Sc. in Engineering, Business or other relevant field, with good academic performance
• True interest in business and market analysis in the energy or bioindustry sector; minimum 2 years of relevant industry sector or management consulting experience for a Consultant role
• Strong quantitative and qualitative problem solving skills with capability to develop models
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and in an understandable manner
• Full fluency in English (oral and written) is a necessity, proficiency in any other language is a clear advantage
• Independent thinking, initiative and a commercial mindset when working to budgets and deadlines.
• Excellent team work capabilities and communication skills; Willingness to work in a variety of different roles and across sectors.
