Job summary

Neste is seeking an Instrumentation Lead Engineer in Porvoo, Finland to drive instrumentation engineering across diverse investment projects within our Investment Project Delivery organization.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety and high technical quality, and may serve as owner representative on major projects, guiding EPCM contractors and safeguarding Neste’s interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Proven track record in instrumentation or automation engineering.
• Leadership capability and motivation to lead projects.
• Strong collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork.
• Fluent English; Finnish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation engineering across versatile investment projects from early studies through final site execution.
• Ensure high technical quality and safety for all instrumentation deliverables, aligning with scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement of specifications and work processes while expanding leadership and technical capabilities.
• Serve as owner representative on major strategic projects, steering and reviewing EPCM contractor engineering.
